Edit: On another note I was wondering for that type of specialized glass on the balconies if they would keep spares on hand to replace the odd ones that might need replacement should they be damaged or broken? Or would they still be able to get matching replacement pieces a decade or two down the line?
The overcast, rainy winter we are having isn't helping. I'm sure the frit pattern on the glass or acrylic panels is a generic pattern that will be able to be replicated many years from now.

As for Aqua. I appreciate the random flow of the design however, it gets lost with their choice of balcony treatment. The tower only looks good from up close.

I don't mean the colour. The shape of the waves is what bothers me.

I think the arena actually looks nicer on a drab winter day than on a nice summer day. It's way too early to be judging Stantec Tower, let's wait till the cladding is on.

^loving BP.

I didn't care at all for the initial renderings of Stantec but the redesigning/refinements have arrived at something I would gladly take in Calgary. It's not a masterpeice but I think it's quite handsome in the current renders.
I'm still not sold on the JW however, it still looked awkward the last renders I saw. I'm glad Edmonton is getting another tall tower though.
As for the arena, I think it's fantastic and am totally jealous.

by far the most exciting project currently underway in Canada is the ICE development in Edmonton.. of all the projects currently planned or under construction, I think this one has the biggest impact in changing a city's skyline. Way to go Edmonton!!

I don't remember what that building to the left of Edmonton Tower is. Actually, I can't recall ever seeing it. What is it?

It doesn't exists. It's the second ICE District office tower.

Weird, I'm not liking the look of TELUS sky at all. Maybe once more goes up and more of the overall shape is visible.
I did really like the renderings, but they must have changed the cladding?

Never seen that ICE district render - thanks for posting. Fun to compare it to the actual photo.

Cool Harbour Plaza photo - great vantage point.

...and... so excited to see Telus Sky rising.

I never liked the look of Telus Sky, but I must admit that cladding does look decent.
