why are those beams so frickin thick and huge? i know taiwan has earthquakes, but those beams look so thick that they seem to create narrow windows with little glass windows. im cringing what this building is going to look like when it's completed.

I think they put the main support beams on the outside of the building to leave more space inside. The glass windows will be outside the beams, so I dont worry for the style, it will look like a big glass buidling.

The fact is that curtainwall is external wall of the building, it has its own skeleton system.

1st components of curtain wall system is installed on steel strcture for testing
