From Oct 31st - Nov 6th, I went on a trip to the Pacific Northwest where I spent some time in both Seattle and Victoria. Luckily I had good weather on the one day I'd set aside for outdoor type activities while in Victoria. So I hopped on a double decker city transit bus in downtown Victoria and headed up to Butchart Gardens. My timing was perfect with the fall colors (or colours for you Canadians out there ) and I ended up taking quite a lot of photos. I really enjoyed my time at Butchart Gardens, and I would recommend it very highly to anyone that goes on a trip to Victoria.
(damn glare, *sigh*)
This is one of my favorite photos. This pond was gorgeous!
The flowers weren't in the best of shape, but it was early November. The colorful leaves & landscaping were the real highlights.
The main visitors center with a gift shop and decent cafe. I assume the building has some banquet halls for weddings & other events.
Beautiful, and most welcome this time of year. The trees outside my window are all glittery with ice this morning, and the streets vary from glare-ice to slush, depending on where the salt trucks have been.

Thanks for the memories. I love Butchart Gardens...used to visit when I lived in BC.
