^ Figures. Maybe they will humor us and paint the concrete where the brass elements were to be a shitty shade of brown?

That is not true...if you click under architecture it shows metal elements on one side of the building (south side) toward the top half...if your comparing to the opening of the website which is shows the full ariel it does not show metals elements at first glance but it is not a close up view...if they were not having metals elements in any of the building why under the architecture section would they still keep photos showing them?..why not update them to show the change as well?

Was watching channel 5 news this morning and saw the live panorama from the Shed during weather. Damn does OBP make an impact from that view. Fills in that gap between LPT perfectly. Hope we get more of this size in that area.

Waiting for the end of winter.

In Chicago that's some time in May.

^ Like a slice of River North transplanted in Streeterville.

Removing those bronze elements will really make OBP look bland as sh*t. It's pretty upsetting.

A quick cell phone shot on a clear Friday evening.
There’s OBP topped out.

Take out the last two cycles and that picture of Streeterville would look very empty. Crazy how much it has changed. In two more cycles it'll be as dense as any city on Earth...

I’m confused. All the renderings on the website still show metal façade elements.

Regardless, it’s much better than anything Lucien Lagrange has done on the basis of form alone. So if there’s a market for faux historical architecture, and there definitely is, then hopefully Stern sticks around and runs that guy out of town.

Separately, I can’t believe how big these apartments are. How does a 3 bedroom get to 4800 square feet? Does it have a bowling alley? And it’s only about $1300/sq ft. Wow.

That's pretty big, but not necessarily totally surprising to me. There are some buildings with really large living rooms, bathrooms, etc and sometimes have multiple large living room spaces. Not that it's as big, but buildings like 30 W Oak and 4 E Elm can be 3500-3700+ sq ft for a 3 bedroom.

If you look at the floorplans:

https://onebennettpark.com/availability/

Foyers, galleries, separate dining rooms and dining areas, living rooms and family rooms, etc. result in huge apartments.

Even the smaller apartments have foyers and galleries.

Impressive shot! The tall and skinny profile of OBP really shines here.
