If passenger counts doubling time at Saskatoon's SKYxe is about twenty years then 6.2 million passengers in 2060?
Just for fun, I mirror imaged using photoshop the north terminal expansion to the south side.

I am going to go with the parcel to the NW of the terminal marked "Leased".

Is the new Canada Post parcel on that map?

The map is dated 2017. I can’t seem to find an updated 2018 map which might show the Canada Post portion which I think is going next to the Cali curling club. On google maps, there is a dark plot shown next to the club that might be the Canada Post spot.

Westjet - Saskatoon-Orlando x1 weekly

Westjet announced direct Saskatoon-Orlando service on Fridays from Dec-April. Great news!

Also YYC-YXE increases x12 week to x8 each business day. YYC-YQR also sees an increase of x1 flight daily to x7 daily.

I think they’ve even upgraded a lot of the YXE -> Calgary flights from smaller bombardiers to Boeing 737’s as well. I just flew in from Calgary Saturday night on a packed 737. Three flights from Toronto and one from vancouver also came in at the same time at 10pm at night which meant all three baggage terminals were running which I’ve never seen yet. Every coffee shop was closed which was a shame but the entire airport was so packed! Also they ran out of taxis...

I hope not. Kreos' hangar would likely accomodate aircraft up to a B737. The westernmost (widest) portion of Taxiway "Charlie" is designed to endure the weight of wide-body aircraft. The westernmost lands were allocated - supposedly - for WestJet and Air Canada.

Has YQR ever had a hanger that would take a B737, let alone a wide body? I remember when the AC DC-9 ran off the runway in the 70's they could not get the tail in the hanger to repair the landing gear.

For a few years preceding October, 2014, WestJet and Air Canada strongly advised that the Regina Airport Authority build infrastructure in order to accommodate new hangars somewhere on airport grounds; now, the infrastructure is in place.

Yes, that AC DC-9 slid off Runway 30 during a freak snowstorm in May of '83. I have a July '83 photo of the said DC-9 with its tail sticking out of the Regina Flying Club hangar with its engines removed. I would post that pic on here; however, it's a pain-in-the-ass to post pics on this website.

I just can't figure out what businesses are dictating the need for a facility like Kreos'.

Wild guess....

They do have a maintenance division. Perhaps they are trying to get into maintenance on 737. Kelowna and Abbotsford are home to maintenance companies that do odd work for Air Canada, WestJet and US airlines. Tends to be things such as upgrade seats, install wiglets, install satellite TV etc. or some new avionics or other mods.

When AC or WestJet picks up a new aircraft from Boeing in Seattle it usually ends up in one of these for all the airline specific mods that Boeing is not setup to do.

If it is not that, then I don't see the point.
