I landed on my right foot but luckily I was wearing flip flops that day. Went to the nearest store and got cleaned up.

I was referring to the buildings on the SW corner of 5th and Lavaca. The same block the ZaZa is going up on.

Oops.. Never mind. I now see that I specifically said that in my previous post.

You should have gone to the nearest store and played lotto and a few scratch offs. Maybe next time

Great picture, thanks. That state parking garage is looking more and more out of place.

Nice pics. I'll be glad when this one is up in the air. I'm curious to see how it'll turn out. It's a bit different than everything else so far.

I miss Blue Moon, by the way. Hard to come by over here.

Yes, Kevin, I'm really excited to see this one. Have they changed their plans at all for the front of the hotel or is it still the same? I recall really liking the renderings of the balconies facing the park.

Apropos of nothing, that will be approximately the view from the new Hilton Canopy.

So the floors from now on will be non-parking levels. This 7th level will also be the tallest one at 22 feet slab to slab with a low mechanical level (just 8 feet) within that level. The 8th floor is the first hotel level.

It should start to go up a little faster now that it has flat floors and a smaller footprint.

Back on 8/18/16, I posted that the developers were aware of the ground water issue but still elected to go with underground parking because they said, "It was the right thing to do for our neighbors across the street at Republic Square". So now we see six floors of above ground parking. Was this always in the plan, below and above ground parking? I'm confused. I thought the first six floors were supposed to be hotel rooms and the rest apartments or condos. I know its late in the game to be just now realizing this, but I just went back to the beginning of the posts out of boredom and saw that post about the parking. The earlier renderings don't appear to have above ground parking. Regardless, I'm glad the parking levels are done, the rest should go up a bit quicker now. I do like the transition floor height.
