So when all else fails consult the people because the leaders are not leading.

Maybe a little proactive brainstorming on these buildings?

^ Yup, both the coliseum and the old RAM are pretty much in identical predicaments, and years after plans to replace both, no contingencies were put in place and now both are orphaned buildings. The lack of planning and foresight is really unfortunate.

and in both cases it really is a lack of planning and foresight, not a lack of ideas and suggestions. for some reason it is the very process itself that had been instituted in both cases that seems to have excluded rather than encouraged creativity and imagination. the old rcmp headquarters building and the federal building and the remand centre and the old post office and the old school board building and many others all experienced - or imposed - the same things on edmonton. we need to start to identify the common denominators and their solutions beforehand, not after the fact.

My guess is mid-2018. There are so many factors, considerations, impacts to schedule for these kinds of installations/fitups.

^ Sounds like late 2018 from the article I read over the weekend. Is this a normal situation for setup to be this long? They need to pick up the pace and get this facility open

Museums displays are quite complex and labour intensive. It's not like the they can just add more labour to speed things up. There's a limited number of people with the appropriate skill set.
