Transforming Cities - the Melbourne experience

We're very lucky to have this guy work for the Melbourne City Council.

The video's a lecture he gave at SFU in Vancouver about the Melbourne experience of transforming cities and explains the philosophy going forward to double the population of the city this century.

it's a 1hour 5 min video/lecture, but worth it:

I've watched the first 7 minutes and will finish the rest later great stuff. You all know that I am a huge Melbourne fan and continue to be amazed at how this metro area of 4.3 million packs a similar urban punch to places twice its size. If it continues to improve you might have to consider it the best city per capita in the Non European western world. US, CAN, AUS, NZ.
