As others have said the new steel is the lantern and it is built through the cooling tower structure. I suppose they will start to add that as well. And I do believe this building is now taller then the comcast towers roof. You can see on the tiny connectors on the steel where the cooling tower stops. And the cooling tower is taller the comcast roof line, correct?

Here's another view. I think it's clear this is the spire, but I think the cooling tower will continue to grow another floor around it.

It's getting taller today. They're hoisting more beams up right now.

What does this take us to now in height? 961 feet tall? We've definitely surpassed One Liberty Place now in height which would officially make this the second tallest building in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania
That is a lot of emojis!!!

are those cooling units still sitting on the roof of the office section or did they slide them into the tower?

They can't move them because the building is 6 meters off plumb and all the I beams are cracked.

I'm not serious. There were some unsubstantiated rumors the building is 6 inches off plumb.

If you're curious about detail, recommend downloading the highest res version off flicker
you can see all the structural bracing for the base of the lantern.
