"Cherubini Metal Works Ltd. has rejigged its plans for a $15-million plant in Burnside Park.
The Dartmouth steel fabrication outfit had planned to build its new 120,000-square-foot plant on land it has owned at 761 Pleasant St. for almost a decade. But now it is in the process of buying a 6.5-hectare lot on Wilkinson Avenue from Halifax Regional Municipality. The company will consolidate its operations there.

"After decades in the same leased location, a non-profit centre that provides programs and work experience to people with intellectual disabilities is about to get a home of its own, a multimillion-dollar facility that will allow it to expand not only its services but the number of people who can use them.
The push for the final $700,000 of fundraising gets underway next month, with construction set to begin in April on a larger, more accessible Dartmouth Adult Service Centre.
