One interesting thing about this building is that it sorta "faces" University City. This will lead to some new signature Philadelphia skyline shots from West Philly, Belmont Plateau, University, etc.

This building will certainly big a huge part in defining our skyline (especially from the west) for our entire generation.

Does anyone know what they've been using the mother of all Ditchwitches for at this site?

From the first photo, is that bedrock that they are hitting or do they need to go deeper to reach bedrock?

How do we know the two of you aren't really the same person?

Anyone ever see these two guys together in the same room?

Haha - we should all do a happy hour in the 4 Seasons when this is done, and the dual identity (or single identity) secret will be revealed!

{Insert dramatic music cue}

Great idea. But who's gonna provide the music?

Oh wait--never mind.

  • Resize, if necessary.
  • Go to imgur.com, click the big upload button.
  • Once uploaded, get the image url (not the imgur page url) by right-click -> copy image url.
  • Use the place image button in this post and past the image url

So you can upload images on imgur.com without opening an account? That's great if that's the case. (Shows how much I know. )

Yeah, that's how they became so prolific and the default hosting choice for reddit users. Low barrier to entry. For myself, I always take my pics into an editor first and resize them since imgur will keep it full size and that'll wreck havoc on these boards if you're linking to a 3000+ px image.

The link option for message boards has options for various sizes.

New pit

Not being an expert at these things, what exactly is the purpose of the square pit being dug in the previous pic ??

I would say for the core, however looking at the site as a whole it doesn't seem to match up where the core should be.
