CALGARY | Eau Claire Proposal 7 towers | 66-109M | 19-33 FLOORS

This proposal was submitted a while back, and was approved by the Calgary Planning Commission

DEVELOPMENT PERMIT – NEW: RESTAURANT: LICENSED -
SMALL, RESTAURANT: FOOD SERVICE ONLY - SMALL, CHILD
CARE SERVICE, HOTEL, MULTI-RESIDENTIAL
DEVELOPMENT, RETAIL AND CONSUMER SERVICE,
SUPERMARKET (10 PHASES, 7 BUILDINGS, 1095 UNITS)
EAU CLAIRE COMMUNITY (WARD 7)
2 AVENUE SW AND 5 STREET SW

This Development Permit application is for a phased development of seven (7) primarily
residential mixed-use towers, ranging between 66 metres and 109 metres in height, across two
(2) city blocks in Eau Claire, providing 1095 dwellings units and 421 hotel rooms.


E1-19 Floors, 66 meters
W1-19 Floors, 66 meters
W2-28 Floors, 83 meters
H1-20 Floors, 87 meters
E2-27 Floors, 90 meters
W3-29 Floors, 93 meters
W4 -33 Floors, 109 meters

what happened to that very cool square block that was chopped/sculpted, into a very, very cool tower project? was that not on this same block or what?

Why does the thread title say "15 - 18 floors" when it's 19 - 33 floors?

Thanks Kevin!


Now, if you look closely at the renders, you can see that only one of the tower designs has changed significantly over the past year, and that's the design of the hotel tower. I really like what they've done to it, increasing the height and adding the slight curve to its structure. It could turn our very nice. I'm really glad that the east block is going ahead first, as it has 2 of the 3 best buildings in the development on it.

i really like the small tower with the rounded corners. i like how the floors get smaller towards the top. very interesting design feature that would look great on a much larger tower.

Agreed! Thankfully that tower will be large enough to be very noticeable from the NW view, from SAIT and Kensington, so it will be featured in many skyline shots.
