TORONTO: Through the lens of Glowrock

The weekend before last I had the opportunity to visit some family in Toronto. While there, I got the full Toronto tour by M][A][R][K, as well as a brief visit with the infamous Miketoronto. Here are the photos. Sorry, nothing that shows Mark, Mike, and I together!

There are also some great shots of Niagara Falls, which I visited on the way back into the States. Lastly, I can't forget to thank Brandon for his wonderful, albeit brief, tour of Buffalo on my way back to Pittsburgh!

Hey Mike, get me your address so I can send you back your hat that you left in my car! Hahaha

Well done, sir. Great showcase of the sights in and around Toronto, not just architecture too.

Is it just me or are a lot of these kind of tilted to the right? Actually helps some of the high-rise archtitecture shots though IMHO. Good, good stuff.

No doubt, Glowrock gets around! Oh yeah, I believe this is also Glowrock's 17,000th post! Hahaha

(17,000th that we know of, I'm sure my post count was reset numerous times in the last many years I've been on SSP!)

And jfre81, yeah, I do believe some of them are a bit tilted to the right. I think it's because my focus naturally moves a bit to the right when I press the shutter!

I plan on it, Mark. Trust me, I know full well I never got to see much of Toronto, really. I've gotta get to the ROM and the Toronto Zoo for starters, yet alone many other places. Besides, I should do a Scarborough photo tour as well!

Thank you very much for your pictures, glowrock!

I remember when I was in Toronto and later in Niagara Falls. It was an unforgettable trip. So unforgettable that I did it twice.

I liked very mucho Toronto´s skyline, CN tower, the views from it are amazing.

And Niagara Falls is a beautiful town, with its wonderful falls. I´d like to go back there, and I suppose I´ll go back soon.

Your pictures are very good and I´ve liked them very much.

Congratulations and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

Nice photos, very comprehensive downtown tour. I especially enjoyed the views from the Manulife Centre, one of my favourite skyline view points in the city.

That was some good stuff glowrock - thanks.

You do get around - it's hard to keep up man. What did you quit the day job? Full time mod - part-time travel writer.

I've definitely got a day job. I just travel around on a lot of weekends, that's all. It's easy to get to a ton of places within 2-6 hours' drive of Pittsburgh!

Plus I do some traveling for my job, so all in all it ends up being a LOT of time on the road...

Nice to see you made it to Toronto!

Did you get any hoods? I love the old houses in Yorkville

A place I've known almost my whole life, my parents took me there when I was 4. I tried to replicate the Eaton Centre in legos upon returning but constantly ran out of pieces.

Downtown Toronto has a fascinating mix of old and new

Love the skyline shots looking toward Lake Ontario

You didn't by chance get to check out Niagra Falls, NY? Gritty town that's definitely seen better days, but interesting nonetheless.

Nope, never made it to Niagara Falls, NY. I crossed over at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo...

I thought so - it was just a rather lame attempt at humor. Being here in Denver, you're well aware of how isolated it is. If I were so close to so much goodness I would take every opportunity as well. I'll look forward to more threads.
