I wonder how much longer it'll be before the building on the eastern side of the block gets torn down or rehabbed.

P.S. Thanks for the updates philopdx!!! You were everywhere yesterday!

On the quarter block at the SE corner of 9th and Everett where Brake Team was for a short while they are doing some work. The Brake Team letters are down. Here's the design review notice:

http://www.portlandonline.com/bds/in...42259&a=395980

It says it is for Local First and in the design it says 'produce market'. Anyone know anything about this?

Wait, didn't someone just propose another Marriott by the Strand in Riverplace? This makes 2 Marriotts at the same time?

Augh! invasion of the Marriotts! /jk

A six-story Hyatt House hotel could begin rising on one of the last developable lots in Portland’s South Waterfront District as soon as next year.

The Portland Development Commission is entering final negotiations with developers Jack Onder, Dike Dame and Homer Williams for a $5.25 million sale of a PDC-owned property known as Parcel 8.

Also from the article:

Quote:
The runner-up proposal, also a hotel, came from another team of prominent Portland developers. Bob Naito and Jim Winkler submitted a $62 million proposal that called for a 312-room, dual-branded Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites.
