Wow, those are some really neat old railcars. Too bad they're sitting out there just getting more rusty. They should fix 'em all up!

Scranton is a neat but odd place (like most PA towns can be). Thanks for sharing!

The Electric City! I visited here a few times during my time living in Pennsylvania. It always struck me as crazy how all of those old trains were just sitting in that massive rail yard, in various states of decay. And then there's that pedestrian bridge attached to the food court of the Steamtown Mall that you could just walk out on and see them all down below.

Scranton has so much potential, and so much great architecture. The Radisson (Lackawanna Station) lobby is an incredible space. Thanks for sharing!

I spent a lot of time in the Scranton area as a kid, my folks lived in Blakely/Peckville area until they moved to Ithaca. There's a place in my heart for that region, though times have been rough for those folks. I did a Scranton tour with an SSPer about a decade ago (MetroJunkieBJR) but he doesn't visit the site now. I wanted to tour Steamtown, but never made it there. So these pics are bringing a smile to my face. Thanks for the tour boden.
