With those sherbourne towers down the block, this area will look impressive in a few years.

Burano is a nice surprise. I like the height and thinness.

It looks thin until you look at it from the west/east, then it gets significant girth.

From the west it does look pretty wide!

Almost office tower like.

I'll see about getting some Ripley shots this week, an insane amount of piping has already been put in for the water filtration system.

What's up with the tower spacing here...

Edmonton has enacted a new zoning policy that requires 25m between window facing residential units so as to protect privacy.

As far as I know there is a 20 or 25m requirement between residential structures here in T.O as well.

Hopefully when all of the construction on Bay street is complete it will get a makeover like Bloor did. The sidewalk are pretty mangled up right now from all the heavy vehicles that have been going over them. There is no reason with the growing tax base in the core why some of that money can't be reinvested into street beautification. Although with our mayor spending any money in the core would go against every bone in his suburban body.

Burano is turning out great. For being so massive it meets the street level well.

Five Condos is going to the Committee of Adjustment for another 5 floors, bringing it to a total of 50: http://www.toronto.ca/planning/pdf/c..._8feb12_pm.pdf

This will put it well over 500 feet.

I feel like if Burano was being built in other Canadian city it would be getting a lot more attention. Right now it seems like it's being overshadowed by the numerous other Toronto projects and proposals. I think it's a very underappreciated building.
