i hadn't heard of this until today, but this is very beautiful... It looks so much taller than 850' though. It definitely deserves to be the most beautiful here than just another in NY or Chicago.

You think the Devon Energy Center would just be "another" in NYC or Chi?I get what You are saying though! This tower would be amazing in any skyline IMHO,but this tower would be like the 10th tallest in Chicago so again,I get what Your saying!

I'm beginning to think that Jon Pickard was the brains behind a lot of Pelli's success. Now that he's the principal of his own firm, their designs have been uniformly excellent and elegant, while Pelli's been rehashing his designs: see Transbay and 15Penn.

It is just amazing how much OKC has changed in the 10yrs since i have been there. What a wonderful tower and i love that this city now has an NBA team and is getting talked about like a growing big city unlike in the past when it was known for the bombing.

I think good things are coming to Oklahoma City.

Hell, as a SSP geek I would travel to OKC just to see and experience this fantastic building, and once that observation deck opens, it is going to be a star attraction.

Congratulations and Well done on such an awesome skyscraper Oklahoma!
This from a resident of Calgary who had the Eight Avenue Place recently completed and done by Hines and P.Chilton. I was an associate for the local firm who worked with both parties to get the drawings done for construction on that one, and now the second tower is officially under construction which had undergone a design revision to be taller now. It will now be 177.1m, 41 storeys and 850,000 sq.ft.
great news on the increase. and congratulations on being a part of such a wonderful project. and i agree, both this tower and EAP are awesome skyscrapers.

Now that you've mentioned, this tower could also be a big middle finger to those who believed they had ruined Oklahoma City by bombing it. Now, that building was replaced with an memorial and a near supertall is dominating the city's skyline.

This tower looks great and totally changes the OKC skyline. Now it needs a few 500 footers around it to balance out the skyline.

There were some really great nighttime shots of this tower during the game on Saturday night.

Wow! Glad I stopped by here. If you're going to have a tower that looks to be twice the size of anything else, it better look like THAT. Beautiful addition, Oklahoma City. I've never been, but it's another reason to pay a visit. Boise's new tallest is beginning construction now, but it's nothing like this.

You can see Vast Restaurant starting to take shape at the bottom of the "V"; the highest brightly lit (ie. finished) floor is #44.
