^Stunning transformation over just 20 years. Not sure if it's just me, but your photos aren't showing. I followed the link to see them.

from an engineering standpoint this tower is a space age masterpiece. however, i don't like the way it looks. it, to me, looks awkward and unbalanced. the way it twists looks funny and not at all appealing to look at. that just my opinion and i am in no way saying that it isn't a great architectural feat. it is all of that. i just don't like the look at all.

i see what you mean, i won't say i dislike the look of it completely, but the curves are a bit random and odd..

i dunno, maybe because we're all used to symmetry lol!

Great to see it moving along so fast. Last time I checked it was still just a hole in the ground.

Now that this has cleared the surrounding buildings it's much more visible from a lot more vantage points in the city. It's beastly already, and it's just amazing to think that it's only a little less than 1/3 of the way up!

Wow...this tower is going up fast! Last time I was it, it was only like 10 floors off the ground...now its taller than most of the surrounding buildings. This thing is already a beast! It will probably be my favorite skyscraper when it's done.

i was going through SSC and i really wish they focused more on quality control in this tower. Gensler got it right with the Guangzhou twin tower (well, tower 1), with curved glass, perfect glazing, great curves, beams acting visually and structurally, etc... i'm hoping this tower gets just as good glass and details.

Some interior renderings show the atriums too cluttered with support rods. Some of the base columns seem a bit odd. The exterior certainly looks much more harmonious.

Great looking towers but what a missed opportunity for urbanism.

The whole city is uber-urban, dense and crowded. I would say this is more of an opportunity to create a bit of space in an insanely packed urban jungle.

I'd still like to see the street level have a more urban design. Merge the old city street level with the massive towers.
