I'm looking forward to the city's most amazing mural on that big blank wall. Considering the neighborhood, I'd love to see a huge LGBT themed one.

Already it looks even better than it did in renderings. That said, the "driveway" is huge. I mean they could dock Star Trek's Enterprise in there.

Had to go to El Fuego again (that chorizo burrito is so good), so I got another picture.

Not to nitpick but, that's the north facing wall not the south.

something could be built next door in the future so there is no point in having windows there.

If a face of your building is built along the property line, it can't have windows as those windows would theoretically one day be attached directly to someone else's blank wall on the adjacent lot. It's one of those rules that makes sense on paper but leads to conditions like what we're seeing here, conditions that can last years or decades in a city where the guarantee of developers maxing out zoning on all parcels is less certain than in new york or other hotter markets. You see prominent examples of this in the high-rises on and near Front Street in Old City. Approaching them from the south they are handsome, modern looking buildings. From the north, they are a series of consecutive 10-12 story blank walls that make you wonder what's going on.

If windows are needed/desired the owner of one property can try to buy the air rights of the next property. (can they be leased for 15 years or so?) Or the design can be changed; I believe all you need is 4 or 5 feet clearance between a window wall and the property line

That's going to look brutal. Here's hoping for a 200 foot high "Eat at Fergie's" sign.

I'd be down with that! But considering the history of the neighborhood, I think a big LGBT mural would be great.

Some kind of mural on the west wall would be good. That side of the building looks rough because that wall is all you can see until you get close. Looks particularly bad viewing it from West of Broad. The East side has the same wall but looks much better because other parts of the building are visible from the blocks approaching it. As a whole, really like this building! Shaping up great.
