A few images from today. The first is from about 30 floors up in a nearby building and the others are a look at how the ground level is coming along.

Yeah, the glass adds an almost crystalline quality to the building. Very nice.

Wow, that's a sexy building. Came out better than I was expecting. If only it could have been just 100 ft. taller...but that seems to usually be the case in SF.

You guys have outdone yourselves this time, those photos are awesome. I must admit, I was wondering what had happened to this thread because I could not find it under its usual spot. I didnt know they had divided the skyscrapers into groups by height. Oh well.

555 looks great with the glassy crown, now all they have to do is fire it up

Thanks Rem. Yeah, it's a little harder to track all the projects now that they're in different places, and it's even harder because they keep moving around. But I think I've got it down now.

I walked by today and noticed how cleverly (with the help of computer models, no doubt) this building was designed and positioned so that at lunch time the minipark associated with 560 Mission across the street still gets plenty of sunlight. It's really neat--this shaft of sun comes through 555's open space and hits right on the grass at 560.

From my usual perspective, but with a little more context and perspective from the neighboring buildings.

A little blown-out, but an interesting angle nonetheless:

Now that the tower really is topped off, have they released the official structural height? I'm still in question from that 458' I saw earlier and the 482' that is the title of this thread.

I would think the 482' is closer. The dark building to the right (the Pelli one) is 420'. 555 Mission looks to have 4-5 floors of height on it (inc. the crown on top). At office floor heights, that puts it 45-60 feet higher.

it is 487 feet to the top of the crown - which i believe would be the structural height in this case.

the top of the last floor is around 453' (don't have the docs in front of me right now) so that is probably where the 458' comes from.

I used the same method to estimate myself, but I had some doubts because of the angle of exposure.

Thanks for clearing that up. The same situation seems to be applying to other projects, so I would guess that their lower height numbers are because they only count to the roof and not the structural height.
