^the one nice thing about the building as is is the scale. It doesn't swallow up too much street frontage for minimal interaction. Ideally a bunch of narrower projects would pop up and fill in the gaps. One day we too can have projects like that tooth pick fronting central park lol

CentreVenture put up the tiniest, most ridiculous for sale sign on the south side of the St. Regis. The font is so small it's nearly impossible to read. Good luck team.

At least they fixed up the brochure, which had embarrassing errors in labeling. Like they weren't from Winnipeg and didn't know the streets.

I saw it from the skywalk... the print is comically small. I have pretty good eyesight but the only words I could make out were "Smith Street".

If you wanted to make the least conspicuous for sale sign possible, using that as your model wouldn't be a bad idea.

^Yeah, it also completely blends into the mural. Why wouldn’t they put one on the Smith side? It’s like whoever is in charge of this project is doing everything for the first time.

That would be copyright infringement.

The site has article posting rules:
http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=175132

Though with lack of moderation on these boards it has not been enforced much lately.

You can still post snipits of articles.

Headline title (bolding the title helps with readibility)

Author name, publication (If available)

Date published

Link to article (full link, starting with "http://"

Single paragraph from the article or paraphrased paragraph, ending with [...] to show additional content available through the link.

The lawyer at the end of the article basically says 'well we told them there's risk and voila, here we are. Too bad so sad.'

There are some stories in the local media about the interest Centreventure has received in the St. Regis which is back on the market until later this month.

It will be interesting to see which bid CV ends up going with. I know this process with the St. Regis hasn't been the smoothest, but it's good that CV got title back after SkyCity fell through... good foresight on their part.

Thank god we didn't end up with a massive abandoned hole in the ground like a certain city to the west of us!

^ Yeah, damn

I guess we got burned badly enough in the 70s, 80s and 90s to learn the hard way how to protect ourselves from that kind of thing.

I wonder what they're going to do with that pit?

I think they are still arguing about who has to fill in the hole. There's also a small contingent that believes the project can somehow be saved, but in the absence of any other information, this seems to be wishful thinking.
