I guess you are right, it is really a "true rural experience." I love to watch the cows grazing near the MARTA station.

The Buckhead Village area feels pretty urban to me, as does the Peachtree corridor north and south of there.

Atlanta has tended to develop along its commercial corridors such as Ponce, Peachtree, Memorial and Northside, with single family neighborhoods around them. While we may never be "urban" in the sense of Philadelphia, NYC, Boston or Chicago, our style nonetheless offers a pleasant city experience.

Midtown DRC September Agenda

http://www.midtownatl.com/_files/doc...a-09-13-16.pdf

NEW APPLICATION: 1372 Peachtree Street (Office Renovation)

NEW APPLICATION: 1018 West Peachtree Street, Comcast

FOLLOW-UP: SLS Atlanta Hotel & Residences, Trillist

FOLLOW-UP: 195 Thirteenth Street, Lennar Multifamily Communities

I was hoping the recent zoning verification filing for 1018 West Peachtree meant that Comcast was selling that site to be redeveloped. Too bad.

Honeywell's projected 600 IT employees to land at Bank of America building in Midtown. Great news for southern Midtown!

Interesting, I went to the Braves game last night and I heard from an insider that CODA/Tech Square has two LOI for 100K sqft each. I assumed one was for Honeywell and the other GE's Big Data operations.

Rendering I had saved, but never posted. I thought I would share it for the out of towners.

Which is an extension of the Path 400 over the connector and through the Buckhead CBD.
It is a tad disappointing, but something is better than nothing. Hopefully the Stitch is what they say it will be.

After being in Boston over the weekend, the Greenway is amazing, you can see the development is has spurred there in a huge way.
