First section of the 13'-6" core pour. End of the day concrete still pouring.

And removal of the last set of struts.

That would be good but no, just a small hand broom to clean up so I can snap chalk lines.

I was imitating my old Metalhead foreman who has a long goatee.

I'm thinking of launching a kickstarter campaign to make broom flasks. Who's in?

I'll drink to that!

On the right side of the photo, east end of the site, it looks like they are prepping for a concrete pour. Anybody know whats going on with all the tubing? If it was warmer I'd guess the tubing would be cooling tubes, but its cooler temps now and the slab isn't all that thick. New construction mystery.

^ it was mentioned earlier than the cooling tubes help with the curing process in thick pours. I doubt the exterior air temp makes much of a difference.

My guess is that this building is being constructed with post-tensioned concrete slabs. If that's the case then those would be the cables that eventually provide stability.

^ Our man on the job, Whu215, gave us the answer in his latest post:

Of course, he may have provided that answer after a few too many swigs from the broom flask.

This isn't a post tension job.

Looks like a movie villain is nearby based on the cars of the roof parking across the street.

Or a presidential candidate (or maybe that's the same thing?).
