From the looks of it, though, some that wanted to vote NDP or Green ditched last minute and went for LIB instead.

Only 32 Bloc seats? Surely they haven't finished counting...?

Right now BQ + CPC = LIB

... and I knew it wouldn't be true anymore by the time I'm done writing this.

Back to 30 as of right now. Yea I feel that's on the low side...

At about 10pm EST, Andrew Scheer must have been seriously regretting his public concession of the right to govern to the party that wins the most seats ....

I don't think it matters. At this rate, whether or not he'd said it, LIB definitely got the first try.

Well they just showed the Vercheres riding (typical Bloc territory) and the votes are barely in, so maybe not all ridings are in yet. In fact I just checked and most Quebec ridings are still getting counted. 33 now which is still on the low side, but enough for the balance of power with the Libs (NDP isn't there yet).

There was no way there was going to be a Conservative government anyway, but this looks to be a relatively big win for Trudeau, so this government might last for awhile.

The Bloc and NDP just didn't take the seats from the Liberals.

I was referring to the half hour or so when it was looking as though the Conservatives + Bloc might end up with more seats than the Liberals + NDP. That now seems like not happening, but it would have been rather ironic.

Ruth Brosseau is ahead by a hair right now, and most votes aren't counted yet.

Yup, Doug Ford must see the writing on the wall for him next election. It looks like his base is gone.
