Louisville From The Air

I'm new to this group and have been enjoying the city photos, especially the ones of places I have traveled over the years. Here are some of my old home town, Louisville, KY, taken as we flew in from O'Hare to SDF last year.

I was fortunate to have a clear day and a clean window!

On the west side of town, the massive railroad yard near the I-64 Bridge

The old PRR bridge to the west side of downtown Louisville.

Downtown Louisville

From further south as we approach the airport

Looking east. The clear area center picture is Bowman Field

Norton Audubon Hospital with Bellermine in the background

The meeting of I-65 and The Watterson Expressway

North of the river is Indiana. There are three major cities across from Louisville. From West to East they are: New Albany, Clarksville, and Jeffersonville, but you can't tell where one stops and the next on starts except for a city limit sign.

Wonderful debut. Love that rail yard shot, and the downtown pic too. Welcome to SSP. Hope to see more pics from ya in the future.

I've never seen Louisville from that angle before. Your pictures turned out really clear. Nice work!
