Tyler Seguin = sat in the press box for the majority of the playoffs and contributed nothing.

Holy christ are the Canucks fans that live in Calgary overly drunk and annoying. It's a Tuesday night and you'd think it was Saturday. The nosebleeds were overflowing with drunken kids who could barely make it up and down the stairs.

One guy in a Canuck jersey went on a drunken pity rant about how he cheered for Calgary in 2004, and asked me who I was cheering for in the final last year. I told him, a bit louder than I realized: "the firefighters". It was at the perfect lull in the noise from the game. I swear to god I almost got a standing O from the crowd around me. People roared with laughter, Flames and Canucks fans alike.

Other than that, there's not much good to say about a night like tonight.

this gets a standing O from me

Indeed we did. No pieces the Bruins got contributed in any way to their Stanley Cup, and if Kessel was still there they would have won in less games!

With Kessel's salary they probably wouldn't have acquired a few of the players that were factors in their run.

If Kessel was on Boston this season, you could basically reverse the Leafs and Bruins records.

Leafs would be 3-7 and the Bruins would be 7-3. Kessel is responsible for 80% of the scoring on the team.

I bet the Bruins would make that exact same trade all over again.

Yeah, that sounds like a recipe for success. Ask us Flames fans how far heavy reliance on one player will get you.

That's why we have Kadri.

... although he is down on the farm right now. But like Arnold use to say, 'He'll be back!'

Nice avatar... Hopefully he comes back soon (without rushing of course)!

From the lockout until his injuries...

I miss having the best PP in the NHL year after year (even if Markov provides wayyyy more than just a deadly PP).

Markov was always my favorite player. Even now with the youngsters (Price, Subban, Pacs, Eller and the rest), he still is and will always be until he retires AS A HAB!

This team owes a lot to him...
Quote:
"The power play is a big role for me, so I wanted to go somewhere that had a defenseman who was a good puck distributor," said Cammalleri, who signed a five-year, $30 million contract with Montreal on July 1, 2009. "So it was one of the things I was looking for in a team. Doing my research, talking to some people about Markov, they would say his passes on the power play are so good his own team doesn't see them coming sometimes. So I said, 'that sounds like a plan.'"

Jeez, this will probably be Brodeur's last season. He is horrible out there... I think he's done! He wasn't very good last year either.

Hey how about those Sens showing some gumption in the last half dozen games...Will take a few years of re-building, but the future looks bright.
We need both the Leafs and the Sens back in the play-offs.

No kidding, time for him to retire. He wouldn't want his stellar career tarnished by hanging on too long. What an ugly game tonight. Leafs got the win though!
