Karlsson was amazing last night, kept the Flames in the game.

Sarich has been playing really sloppy as of lately, he just looks one step back from last year. The Flames are just sloppy and lazy, they wait until the puck comes to them, mostly when it is the 3rd period.

Tonight is the night Toronto can prove if they deserve to be in first place. No better test than slapping around the defending Stanley Cup Champions.

Make'em look stupid, and bring the Leaf skeptics out of hiding and onto the streets!

lol so, somehow Flames fans have come to the conclusion Laraque was talking about Iginla and his not using steroids in Olympic years.

BGL sure has become controversial

Well, at least you get pumped up early I bet there will be far more Oiler fans who went down for the weekend in Phoenix than Coyotes fans~

^ that's pretty normal for any game in Phoenix. Lots of Western Canadians "winter" in Phoenix or Yuma or somewhere around there

Tyler Seguin with his first ever NHL hat trick against... Toronto. Ouchies. This'll ensure that damn trade topic won't die.

lol did Franson just literally jump in to a high stick to get a penalty called? Team player!

The ongoing post-trade match-up, irony saga continues. Kessel seems to disappear whenever facing the Bruins, while Seguin explodes against the Leafs.

This kid's going to be special...I personally still regret the trade happening.

You can tell CBC was trying to mention Toronto being #1 as much as they possibly could lol

Chances are it'll be their last chance in a while...

Hmm. Langkow and Aucoin both have goals against the Oilers. If only that happened more when they were Flames...

The Rangers have to be ashamed of themselves... for not winning by more than 1 goal (last goal was EN).

In the first 28 minutes of the game, the Rangers were given 7 PP... we were given 0. Some of those penalties were deserved but I don't ****in buy the fact nothing was called on New York side. If you are strict for one team, you have to be for the other as well. I saw at least 3-4 infractions that went uncalled.

Think about it... 7 PP in 28 minutes, that's a PP every 4 minutes which is 50% of the time... for half of the game.

Can you believe we had to defend 5 on 3 for 2 minutes after this play?
Video Link

We got a too many men penalty was is fine, we had 6 skaters... however can someone point out to me where the interference penalty is??? Dubinsky had the puck!!!

We were undisciplined no doubt about that, but you got wonder what exactly were the refs smoking tonight. Subban even got a penalty for... snowing the goalie???

Even Rangers fans admitted they got lucky with referring tonight.

If you exclude the penalties, we pretty much dominated them.

There have actually been a few unsportsmanlike penalties handed out that I've seen just from the few games I've watched for snowing the goalie.

Must be a secret new NHL directive!

Snowing a goalie happens a few times during a game... without penalties being given.

Yeah, so the refs probably only hand out the penalties to people who they judge to be known jackasses.
