I realize Sudbury's plan is different than T-Bay's, but at the end of the day, we're still talking public money to get a new arena facility done.
This is of course not to mention that Sudbury's plan flies in the face of all current expert advice on proper urban planning and the province's recommendations & demands for development.

The people who are for it constantly complain about how there is no parking downtown. The reality is, they mean no
free parking downtown. Little do they realize that they will have to pay for parking with the new arena.
Most that support this live near it or on that side of the city, so they see it as a good thing that it is closer to them.
I could make a long list of how it is bad..... screw it I will
1) 1 road in and out of the area - The Kingsway
2) No restaurants there
3) The land is being bought from a rich developer by the city. The city will pay for the construction
4) The developer owns the OHL team and will be operating the Arena when it opens.
5) There is only 1 (one) city bus route along that part of The Kingsway.
6) The large landfill site (garbage dump) is adjacent to the land. Once they level the lot, the mound of garbage will be visible. Cars parking there will have bird dropping covering their cars.
These are the big issues with the site.
