I love the heterogeneity and randomness of that place. It makes for one of the most unique urban experiences in Europe.

I find it strange how dense, urban neighbourhoods with lots of historical buildings such as Kreuzberg and Prenzlauer Berg don't appear to have much in the way of vibrant shopping/commercial districts within the neighbourhood. You know, shopping districts somewhat like Schanzenviertel is in Hamburg or Nieuwe Binnenweg is in Rotterdam. That being said, they just have such gorgeous architecture so that alone is worth the visit to these neighbourhoods.

Oh, and fabulous pictures, by the way. My favourites were the last ten or so, as well as the earlier ones.
