I love the grit and the vibrant feel. Reminds me of the Northeastern cities of the US where I live (Philadelphia).

I wonder whether you guys get the same load of racist comments and crap as we do from the decadent weak jerks on those crazy social networks.

Maybe it's also because we're still French-speaking, which often pisses them off, but I doubt that would explain all that scum.
They post outrageous insulting comments about London as well.

I most often ignore them, but sometimes, I'll confess it hurts a little bit.
Bah, when I'm tired, I guess.

Nice Cosmopolitan vibe in your town. Obviously the sign of the pure and most advanced.

Most of my favourite bands are from Manchester: The Fall, Joy Division/New Order, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Magazine, Autechre... It's nice to get not only a closer look at the city and its people but also its culture.
