I didn't read the link when I clicked this thread, so as I was scrolling down the page in a quick manner, I thought I was skimming through 3WTC pictures lmao!

they were working on the top level the other day. I wonder what is going on up there? No vertical progress so perhaps they are putting down the roof on the top level.

I think there have been at least parts of floor sections that have had the glass panels installed and then they've sprayed on the fireproofing afterwards. I'm wondering if that will be the case with some of the upcoming floors. As you could see from the webcam on Thursday that the next two floors of windows seem to be lined up an ready to go regardless of the fireproof coating not being there.

There seems to be enough room perhaps to get the sprayed material in that space. They'll just have to cover the windows like they've done on some of the other floors.

I've read that the hotel potion of this building is 15 floors. Looking at the pictures above (particularly acumenhokie's from yesterday) you can see there are now 11 of the vertical cages (1 per floor) that frame out the facade on the east face of the building, clearly they're going to need more than 4 more to get to the roof level. I thought all along that the top floor where the restaurant will be will have a higher ceiling which accounts for some of that, but it looks like maybe the floor under that will also be more than the standard height of all the lower floors, is this correct? And what is on that floor below the restaurant?

Unfortunately, not yet. That is the temporary construction elevator which will be removed.

Pretty sure its not structural.. but there is something sticking up in the photo that seems to indicate how high the cooling towers and mast will be.
Seems gone again today in the webcam, but the horizontal pieces are about a "floor" height apart.
Also noting that the windows on the south side have started to rise above the fireproofing, as someone suggested they might.
I wonder if the wind causes extra problems at that height?

^^That's the antenna on top of the PSFS Building--it just looks like it's on top of CTC in that photo because of the angle. If you follow it down from the top, you'll see that it is connected to the supporting tower and base on the roof of PSFS. It's easier to see if you click on the photo and go to the flickr page, and then click on it again to blow it up.

Thanks! I wondered why it wasn't showing up in the webcam.
However I think it make a nice measuring stick for visualizing the height of the spire :-)
It should actually be a little higher than this.
