Though not this location). The one that would have been at this location is almost certain to be bought out by someone if the former SNFW opts not to proceed to open it.
The old business was divided into 2 membership streams -

Steve Nash Sports Club was the Granville flagship and select other locations for members who paid a higher monthly fee (Richmond (off Hwy 99), Brentwood (which was originally a Steve Nash Fitness World but was converted), Yaletown Express (formerly a Gold's, I think), maybe Morgan Crossing (?) and Park Royal (?)) and got perks like towel service, cafe, etc.

The others locations were branded Steve Nash Fitness World and were open to regular members.

In theory, this location could have been a relocation of the Steve Nash Fitness World further up on Kingsway, as the sites are pretty close.

That one needs to be closed down ASAP!

Just one man's opinion.

G&F on the corner has work happening inside so presumably the 'opening soon' sign is finally accurate. Buy Low has signage up on Kingsway now - the small CRUs there look the same as a few weeks ago.

The Kings Crossing housing development will house the Buy-Low Foods store, which is set to open on Aug. 26. Kings Crossing is a three-tower residential housing development that will feature a variety of retail shops.

I went there today - and well it was a grocery store. It's smaller than the Save-On up the street but it'll do well with three towers right above it. There's also a 'coming soon' sign for a Pho restaurant on Edmonds.

Burnaby just had a public hearing for the proposed Cannabis store here and a lot of people seem to be writing to oppose it (in some cases the writing is so similar it's pretty clear someone gave them a form letter to work from). I really hope it goes through.

pople opposing the cannabis store are being ridiculous, comparing it to a gun store, and saying its going to attract drug addicts and criminals. If that is the only arguments they have thats pretty sad lol.

Oh god skimming through all those letters - at least half of them were the same form letter. If they'd done any homework they would have found Burnaby has rules about where cannabis stores can open and this one follows all of them to a T. Liquor stores don't even have to follow as many rules and it's a pretty safe bet those same people don't oppose them.

Oh the plan is to have it take over two units near the far end of the Kingsway run (so away from Edmonds / the bank on the corner) with only one CRU between it and the tower entrance there. Some people are having conniptions about their kids walking by it, which will somehow turn them into potheads.

Only $1.4 mil for a 2 bed, 2 floor penthouse with rooftop patio?! You could get a 1 bed in Vancouver House for just as much!

‘Sky signs’ proposal worries Burnaby building’s neighbours
Resident fear light pollution and blocked views
May 22, 2021 5:52 AM By: Chris Campbell

A proposal to add some “sky signs” to the top of a building at one of Burnaby’s busiest intersections is proving worrisome to some of the neighbours.

A City of Burnaby staff report outlines a proposal for the installation of sky signs on the northwest and south elevations of an office building at 7300 Edmonds Street at Kingsway, known as Kings Crossing. The applicant is Gulf and Fraser Fishermen's Credit Union.

Don't know if this is a conundrum, an irony or a catch-22, the building's owner wants to put up a sign without upseting the neighbours,
his effort in doing so made the signages nearly unnoticeable at street level (at night) and everyday readable for nimby condo owners, I see it now as an 'in your face"
