What is even the 'park' they are referencing? Green Timbers? Holland Park? At least here in Metrotown we have Central Park next to the town centre...

City Parkway

And there will be a new park across the street.

Park Boulevard, Park George, Park This, Park That. Like how many more are going to have 'Park' in their name?
Dont you know the Surrey bylaw states that all new developments have to have this naming scheme?: 'Park (insert street name here)'

Similar to every new Brentwood proposal saying it is the "...most extensive community transformation since the development of Yaletown".

Forgot Parc Centrale (not to be confused with Park Central - 2 separate projects ) and Parks & Yards by Rize on King George - which just began construction!

If not Park, it's Central or some variation of. Could make a list of those too.

In the case of Parkway, I believe it's because the project is on City Parkway

I'm waiting for a Yawkrap naming scheme to take off when all of the park names are tried and tired .

It's actually pretty dumb. There aren't very many properties in Surrey that aren't within several blocks of a park. Come up with something new. Marketing companies are just lazy clearly.

Then again, it is an industry that constantly renders pre-sale urban high-rise developments as being surrounded with green fields in the middle of nowhere surrounded by 2,197 trees including 150 trees on the roof of the high-rise in question like that has ever been done anywhere.

Excavation has bottomed on the west side of the site - they have dug out the core pad and looks like crane base coming soon.

Matcon is continuing bulk excavation and shoring on the east side of the site.

Will aim to post some pics soon!

I was surprised to see how deep the hole was the other day, I didn't think they had progressed that far

Thanks for the update. You can already see the angled floor plate that the rental tower will have given the excavated footprint.

They seem to be having ongoing issues with water for the core slab. Concrete pump was placing concrete all throughout the core yesterday to shore up the ground and perhaps push out water.

Today, you can see they are installing torched on membrane along the right side.

Interesting!

Happy to see the density going in in Surrey, but this pretty dour and grim stuff.
