You mean Chester Road, Belmont? Because my grandmother grew up on Payson Road, one block from Chester Road in Belmont... my god what a small world. She would have been 94 were she still with us, maybe a bit younger than your grandmother, but still.

That could be. As I said before, I'm just copying the captions my father gave for the photos. They certainly could be wrong.

At one point he had all the 1974 photos labeled as 1972. But when I thought about it I knew that had to be wrong because: 1) That was the time we saw Jim Rice's first hit, and his first year in the majors was 1974 not 1972, and; 2) the (new) John Hancock tower would not have been that far under construction in 1972, since it was completed in '76.

I've little doubt there are some other things he got wrong, but since he's labeling these things from memory there are bound to be things he didn't get right.

No worries. Most only require a simple one-command "auto colour" in Photoshop. Others are a bit further gone and need a bit more mixing of colour levels, but nonetheless if you do happen to have PS it's very easy to do.

I do have a copy of Photoshop on an old computer but haven't used it in a while. Maybe I should brush up on my skills. But again, thanks!

That Mickey Mantle shot is probably worth some money if you get it cleaned up. There are Yankee fanatics out there that would pay for it.
Yes James I am one those "Yuckees" fans.

Interesting how it always seems like it snowed more heavily back in the old days
I take it that you were not in Boston in 2015. 80 inches of snow in 4 storms over 21 days.

I can't really realize. I guess it looks like old movies starring Steve McQueen or Louis de Funès.
Or even older, some West Side Story textures to the pictures.

I can only refer to old pop movies to these pictures, got no older relatives over there.
It's history. Like past.
