In the entire US according to the latest estimates:

“The non-Hispanic white alone group grew less than one-hundredth of one percent and only gained about 5,000 people,” Lauren Medina, a census demographer, said in a news release.

Local authority areas with the highest and lowest population densities.

The top of the high density list is dominated by London boroughs with the City of Portsmouth being the highest outside the capital.

Tower Hamlets is now at over 15,000/km2, in 1999 it was below 10,000.

Shouldn't this have another thread? The topic here is the US population

Possibly, but as people were already talking about the populations of China, India, Bangladesh, Brazil, Pakistan etc I thought I'd chuck it in here...

If it ever got this bad in the U.S., things might need to be reevaluated.
It's New Jersey Transit.

No, because the train appears to be moving. If it were stalled in Penn Station with a horde of angry commuters it would be NJ Transit.

The article just points out the data but doesn't go into detail the problems or offer solutions. Those are native born white deaths over births but that does not factor in immigration. White immigration is low but even it's 100k per year that might offset the decline.

I don't personally find it something to be worried about or requiring a solution. I just found it extremely interesting. It's gotta scare the crap of Trumpies though.

Of course you don't care. Less whites= good. We fret day and night about minority neighborhoods losing their "identity" but the fact that we are losing whites is painted as good. Its neither good or bad. Just like a neighborhood losing Black's or Hispanics. I just like consistency.

Seems about right. Its the Northeast Corridor on any given December day. I hope they watch the gap before stepping onto the platform!

QFT

I've ridden NJ transit for years, and signal problems, and delays are expected. So are loud teenagers and very loud hispanic couples with 10 kids who scream and yell the whole ride. In the quiet train cart too!

Any time there is a Rangers or Devils game, the drunks get on. So usually the toilet is full of vomit chunks. The one toilet on the train..

AND then, when you get off at Newark Penn and have to use the bathroom, there are always guys in their shaving their armpits and half naked. Honorable mention to the guy talking to himself, who is barricaded in a bathroom stall.

Not good or bad. Just interesting. I love when areas improve. If that means more whites, I could care less.

In the 7-8 years since the thread was started with 309 million people in the title, 20 million or so people have been added to the US, which is roughly four-fifths of Australia's entire population, or a bit more than half of Canada's population.

I saw the thread and didn't look at when it was created...I was thinking, "Man, that's not right. The U.S. has to be closer to 230 million by now." Makes sense.

What was kind of interesting was seeing how Russia dropped down the list of most populous countries -- from being the fourth largest population after China, India and the US in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, during the Cold War era. It kind of makes sense in light of that history how much closer the US and Russia were in population back then (US had only about one and a half times as much as Russia), versus now (where the US is over twice as populous).

Well, considering that Europe is pretty developed as a continent for the most part, has lots of mobility in between countries in itself, now due to the EU, and has 700-something million of the 7 billion people on this Earth, compared to the four billion Asians and over a billion Africans, it's not surprising that Europe isn't exactly a large source sending immigrants.

Among the most populous countries in the year 1900 when the immigration through Ellis Island was in full swing: Qing China, Indian Empire (controlled by the UK), Russian Empire, US, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Dutch East Indies, Empire of Japan, UK, France.

These trends are not good. The world population is growing more and more 3rd world; SubSaharan Africa and India...where they're already suffering from abject poverty. There's nothing good about a Nigeria with almost 500 million people...an area barely the size of TX and CA combined.
