CALGARY - Waterfront II 26 floors residential u/c

Tower II has been u/c for quite some time, and is already around 20 floors. Tower I was topped out months ago.

Tower II is the one on the left hand side of rendering

Pretty nice towers indeed. I had a look at the sales center... some really ritzy stuff! More of the suites are absolutely massive! Probably well out of my price range, unfortunately. But the location is pretty much ideal. Within a short walk from basically any building downtown, right next to the river pathways, awesome city/river/mountain views (depending on height).

The fact that it's five storeys, or how it's turning out?

Personally, that's one of my favourite features of this project. Not another 1-2 storey podium with a tower shooting out of it like everything else being built. I like how this creates a nice urban-scaled street-wall. It's got nice texture and pattern.

^given the area, i think a 2-3 storey would be more appropriate.

I would probably agree for that location, except that the new Eau Claire plan (which will be made up of four separate podiums) also has podium heights of 5 floors. Together the whole area should work with that height of podium.

I completely agree, the 5 story podium gives it a very high density urban feel, I love the look at street level. It looks much better then the typical hum drum street level with faux upper level podium, with recessed towers that most developers create.

Thumbs up

Was up close to Waterfront yesterday and I think the 5 story podium is actually one of the best features of the project. Overall, Waterfront a great addition to the the area and Calgary in general. Thumbs up!

They kinda remind me of the two new condo towers that just went up in Little Rock, I like em a lot.
