Lightbulb HOUSTON | The Homey | FT | 17 FLOORS

Project: The Homey

Quote:
Houston’s glitzy high-rise building boom is getting a new, more understated entry. 6300 Woodway — a previously unpublicized project from Pelican Builders — aims to make high-rise living more comfy.

Simplify doesn’t necessarily mean shrunken, though. The condos for sale in 6300 Woodway will range from 2,100 to 6,000-plus square feet. A total of 58 of them will be spread over the 17 floors. Construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2016 and finish in the summer of 2018. And the future residents figure to have a wallet power that fits right in with the rest of the neighborhood.

Prices for 6300 Woodway’s units range from $1.1 million to more than $4 million.

Directory Update:

1) Since the last update (first post) on the 9/17/2015, I added 10 new threads that have appeared after that period for Plano, Houston, and Forth Worth. Apologies for the delay as NYC projects keep me busy.

2) If I am missing any, let me know.

3) Also a thanks to some good contributors like Urbannizer, Dollaztx, futuresooner, and siceembears. Essentially anybody who contributes.

4) If any threads get moved, send me a pm (might not notice them all). Want to keep this list accurate and up to date. This is ssp, where accuracy and precise data matters, not a disorganized mess like SSC.

5) Remember to bookmark this link: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/show...81&postcount=1

Will make finding threads so much easier and quickly.

You know times are good when El Paso is getting on board. Even Fort Worth, and now San Antonio, are starting to go taller.

AUSTIN | University of Texas Medical Center | Brackenridge Hospital Redevelopment

5 towers. From the photograph of the model in the link it looks like three of the towers are at least 400 feet tall while one of them might be pushing 500 feet. It's kind of hard to tell.

Interesting design. Shame its not underground as half of the tower is a parking deck. But its good news that some of these crummy 1-2 story structures are being replaced. Add some nice density to the area.
