I made it down there actually. Couldn't tell you how sales were going, completely slipped my mind to ask, but it was actually very busy. About three times as many people per salesperson. I was actually quite surprised at the busy turnout.

CP's facebook page says: We have been told that the Plains Hotel will be coming down in September. Move in will be throughout 2012

Considering the parking is benenath the building, I guess they have no choice. Where would a second condo tower go?

If they're considering on making them a twin tower; my guess is that they would build it ontop of the Esso Gas Station that's just across the street south of the Plains Hotel.

Well on their facebook page on Monday they said "has some exciting news"... nothing since then... that kind of leaves the door wide open to a tonne of speculation.

However, if it's just to say that x% is sold, that would be incredibly lame.

They will tell you anything to sell one of those units. The guy offered me indoor plumbing for no extra cost. Told him to beat it!

Capital Pointe, and the demolition is set to begin in early fall I believe, so construction will probably start shortly thereafter.

As for Gardens on Rose, I think there was a press release around a week ago or so that said they need to sell 2 more units to get to the amount they want sold before construction begins, so I would think that won't be too far into the future either.

Demolishion of the Plains Hotel has begun. This morning two massive cranes are taking down the weather beacon that has been a Regina landmark for decades.
