New York like I've always dreamed it.
Massive, gritty, mythical.

Thanks for the pics !

I really appreciate the effort and imagination that inspired you to travel off such well beaten paths elsewhere in Manhattan (and Brooklyn) to show off these lesser seen (and lesser known!) views. Great stuff!

this is not a photo thread. this is a guy taking you by every means of transportation (including foot) and taking you around town from Manhattan to the outer boroughs see endless sights you've never seen before.

This is not a photo thread. This is like a week long trip to NYC, seeing it in a way you never thought possible.

Hell yes. New York isn't ugly or beautiful, New York is New York.

Chitowncity,

I posted them in reply to the comment directly above my post. Why do you care? I added more beautiful photos. I don't think that Stalinesque censorship is applicable on the forum.

New York is both, really damn ugly and really damn beautiful. I like it that way though. Again, great pics.

I noticed that and I figured since he started a thread showcasing his work from his trip that the only pics in this thread should be his...

If he doesn't have a problem with it then who cares, but I came in here to see his pics. This isn't the "New York Photos" thread on ssc...

Agreed. This thread seems intent on showing off the ugliness of NYC, which is absolutely fine by me. There is plenty of it here. In fact, New York does ugly the same way it does everything. Confident abandon.

Great stuff a lot of the shots have that nasty grungy 70's look to them ,but I do find the graininess (camera problems?) of some of the photos takes away a little of the brilliance of your work.... overall the best NYC photos I've seen in SSP
