What's the story on the Bedford waterfront?

This needs to get developed ASAP:

I suspect that once the ferry terminal is in place, a plan for development will come about, but not sure what that would be. So far the infill for the ferry terminal is nothing more than a pile of rocks dumped into the basin, and I'm guessing it's City owned?

I would say there are quite a few steps to complete before development could be considered for that area, and personally I hope it would be an extension of the waterfront park/walkway that is enjoyed by many, and not some private condo development as some of the diagrams seem to feature. The ferry terminal will also require parking if it's going to become a major route for commuters, so some space will have to be set aside for a parkade.

Bedford does not have much for public spaces, and there are lots of condo developments going on already, which will bring in more people who will want to have a nice place to walk, visit, BBQ, play volleyball, let the kids run around, etc.

Not liking the one that takes away the shopping plaza next to Moirs Pond as it is always very busy, and thus needed by the locals.
