Chris, your aug 30th post . .
"some kinda voodoo construction going on" . .
yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about . .
if only there were more of that valuable voodoo construction . .
that high-quality architectural significance . .
more of it goin' on in the rest of this project . . and more of it all around town . .
then we'd be seein' somethin' really happenin' in this town . .
but they stripped every lick of voodoo out of T2 . .
and from the crowns of T3 & CPT . .
they strip it out, and add a whole lotta nuthin' . .
Whoodoo . .

This is one of the most interesting core/lobby areas going up right now. The far renders look like two big boxes with a wink to the twin days, but the base with all that glass and the tie in plaza to the other buildings is going to be amazing. When these and HY are done, there will be a whole new vibrant section of manhattan added over what was beat up buildings and rail yards ... amazing engineering and planning.

I really love the "wow factor" girder; I'll miss it when it's covered up.

I don't like how they made the base so messy when the towers are otherwise so beautifully clean. Still amazing though. And much more attractive than the KPF monstrosity to the west.

What are you talking about, what's messy about the base?

It's interesting to see a lack of tower cranes at this point in the building's construction. Was there a particular reason why this approach was chosen?

No tower crane yet, but they are up to the fifth floor.
