This looks like it will be the hottest week of the summer. Highs in the mid 30s and lows in the mid 20s. Humidex readings up to the mid and even high 40s.

Could stay above 24-25 for a week straight near the north shore of Lake Erie.

ended up being a hot and humid weekend. plenty of deck time, and quite late into the evening.

the requisite late day thunder storms though.

was supposed to rain after lunch yesterday but was nice until about 7.

got another 100km ride in. little wind and fresh asphalt, the canola and pea crops are blooming. Couldn't ask for a nicer day.

forecast looks ify the rest of the week here .

EC mentioned that this June we had 150% more rain than average, but it was still not in the top 10 rainiest Junes.

Gawd I love summer.
Yep, it was a perfect summer weekend. A couple more like this and I can forgive Mother Nature for the first few months of 2019.

After two and a half weeks of low to mid twenties temperatures, with good doses of rain, perhaps real summer temperatures are on their way back:

Quick but intense thunderstorm rolled through a few hours ago. A private weather station in the east end recorded a hefty rainfall rate of 114 mm/hr.

Looks like a rainy day, currently overcast and 27C, with humidex of 38. This morning's low was 23.2C with humidity building overnight.

The rain is badly needed.

Okay, really pissed at Environment Canada this time.

As Nikko posted earlier, Alert had its warmest day ever at 20.5.

It appears on hourly day that yesterday also hit above 20! And today is already 16 again.

What is annoying?

All these days are NA on the monthly data...

Yeah, this shit is getting pretty old. I was happy about the rainy June, but July is supposed to be Calgary's time to shine, and we've only had like 7 decent days so far this month. Things are really looking up though. Starting this Sunday, the last 11 days of the month are all to be a few degrees above average.

Cloudy, some sunny breaks, and 18 degrees at 2pm. I don't believe summer is interested in starting this year

It cleared up and exceeded the forecast high (currently at 20), but another powerful storm will be hitting the city within the next hour or so. *sigh*
