Austin Tx - brisket, beer, Britney, Formula 1

Boys trip to check COTA and the USGP off of my Formula 1 list. Enjoyed the time there, but it left me wanting more. I likely put the hype bar up a wee bit high. That said, a fun town to visit and boy scooter dodging is fun.

Enjoy.

Very cool! You even caught British Airway's 747 jet (London to Austin and back) landing.

Nice set as was the San Antonio photo thread. The weather that week was unseasonably shitty and more like January. But things cleared up nicely for race day.

Bud Light? There is so much better beer to be had in Austin! No wonder Canadians always dis American beer, when they are choosing the worst available.

^^^Circuit of the Americas. About 30-40mins out.

^^it was purposefully chosen, but generally we had a lot of good local beer.

The track is inside of Austin's city limit - barely. It was annexed in 2013. But the name Elroy to describe the area has stuck.
