Anyone else think this thing is too big? (I didn`t say too tall - that is not possible).

Maybe it just needs some company on Yonge so the poor little big thing won`t look outta place.

It's big, even bigger than the buildings I dreamed in my head walking by this parking lot as a kid.

this glass is just dreamy. i am so relieved to see that they actual will get this thing right. after seeing some of the crap being attached to the exterior of big expensive skyscrapers in Canada these days. i was holding my breath and actual expecting the worst. this is just such a big relief for me. with that said i can now confidently expect the best for this tower, and making it officially my favorite new tower under construction. that is after the bow is completed. that is far and away my favorite Canadian skyscraper, the exterior is finished on that one. so i only have this one to be all excited about. yay for the glass on Aura. haha

actually this will be easily my favorite Toronto skyscraper when it is finished. by a long shot. now that i have seen enough glass to convince me that its on par with the concept of the building itself. and what a building it will be. wowzers!

Given Toronto's impressive growth in construction/real estate in recent years, I wouldn't be surprised if proposals are dropped on the table! I love coming to this section of the forum just to see all the progress on the Toronto projects. Can't wait to visit again!

I wouldn't say it's too big. And considering the potential for other big towers going up, to have a huge footprint on Aura isn't a bad thing. I, too, can imagine once this one is in the higher floors there will be other proposals for tall construction in the neighbourhood.

460 Yonge is proposed at 207 meters

And further up the road, 501a - 501b Yonge Street are proposed at 192 meters each.

Not as tall as Aura, but will give it some company to be sure!!

19 days for someone to file an objection with the OMB.

Great news!

I'm going to go ahead and update the title, as I doubt anyone would be successful in arguing a 9m increase on a 250+ m tower.

I wonder if One Bloor will now go for the extra 5 floors that have been rumored.

Unless it is seven feet taller, I would like to object.

I would say 8', just to ensure it's past that 900' mark!
