To get away from the uniform glass curtain walls, then why not use multi-colored glass instead, or 2 or 3 shades of the same color glass, or do a mosaic of glass?

You can take a square box glass tower, put a different color glass on each side of the building. Then when you walk around the tower you're getting 4 different views of it.

The Harmon Tower in our City Center Project is the first tower I've seen where they employed, artistically, different colored glass in an all-glass tower!

Can we please see more of that!!!

I'd rather we just moved beyond all glass buildings. They make little sense in our climate, look far too sterile/temporary, and I don't feel comfortable/safe in an all glass tower either. I live on the 15th floor. I would never have bought here if it was floor to ceiling glass. Not even if they took $50,000 off the price.

My photo.

Is it just me or does L tower look really cheap up close. I don't know if it's the 1980's teal panelling... I love the building, but I walk by it everyday and up close it is very...strange...

Gawd that stretch of Front is awful. Crappy buildings, no trees/plants, ugly lamp posts, concrete sidewalks, etc. Nothing about it makes one want to spend a second longer here than you have to. It will be interesting once the next block down is finished, because it will be the polar opposite of this block in every facet I've mentioned.

One positive we can take out of this is that the block in front of Union will up the standard of what we consider acceptable. This block above isn't anywhere close to good enough.

It is a drab section of street for what is one of the most visited streets by tourists.
At least there's plans to improve that area once 156 Front and some other towers are built.

And 151/171 Front Street will also help.

I'm hoping that the block in front of Union will become a template for how we treat the public domain throughout the downtown core. We're certainly heading in the right direction.

Hopefully. It's a dreadful mess right now, but at least in the future it will be a much better welcome to the city for those coming by train.

It seems so close, and yet so far from completion.
