this turned out great. the original design woulda been nice (maybe someone feels like digging it up) too. i seem to remember the smaller buildings being spheres or something...

anyway this complex looks very good - simple, modern, elegant. very glassy, classy

Oh of course. That is socialist architecture and planning policy for you. Just basing it on my perception and what I've seen a lot (China).

Every time I see a shot of Moscow I'm more and more convinced that it has built itself what can probably be considered the best up-and-coming skyline in Europe . La Defense is quite impressive too but I think that in ten or twenty years , Moscow will be the preeminent European city .

Anyway , Moscow is really looking quite impressive .

I would agree (notwithstanding that , well yeah , I guess it was the Russians who came up with the idea first) except for the lack of greenery . Moscow looks so lush even compared to southern Chinese cities .

Isn't Moscow in Russia?

OT: I don't like the design of the building. It looks like those block toys for kids that they stacked together.

Yeah , as far as Russia is concerned , Europe ends at the Urals and Asia begins there . Other than that , it's just as much a cultural thing . Just like how Turkey would , for all practical purposes , be considered European. Same people , related language ... just happens to be across the strait and has a different religion .

Boy, those bird's eye shots gives one the impression that Moscow is an urban oasis. I can see myself spending the whole day and night by those windows.
