Looks to me like the roof is being put on in places already. As soon as they can enclose the space the weather is mostly irrelevant, so it's definitely nice to see progress so far even with so much bad weather this summer.

If you look at the live construction feed, they've been doing a lot more work at night lately. Always nice to see a big project like that humming along.

Good news on the housing affordability/availability front: HANO increasing units from 80 to 156 for its Marigny/Bywater scattered site redevelopments.

The design on Tulane is MUCH improved, looks great and complements the new hospitals well, also I think Voorsanger did a great job on the WWII museum designs, really a world class campus. And great news for the Virgin hotel!

And the steel canopy will be finished by the end of the year! Apparently the steel is in Germany. kind of ironic Germans building part of a museum about defeating them in a war but whatever. I cant wait to see it put up!

The new Residence Inn is progressing as well. Crews appear to be on the verge of pile driving. The entire site is fenced off and all concrete has removed already.

I definitely try to do my part, but it seems that the projects along my commute have all stagnated!

I haven't seen any movement on the Parkway apartments at Jeff Davis and Washington this year. Anyone know the holdup on this?

The project near the greenway in Midcity has also pretty dead recently, although there are construction offices with people in them on site.

Also passed 1031 Canal and press street in the Bywater today - not much to see there.

1031 is a bizarre one that no one will ever know the answer too

i do know the edwards communities mid city project applied for right of ways for their balconies.. so that ones still moving through permitting...

This has the opportunity to be pretty cool. This is the first I'm learning about the project but am curious how/if it will unfold.
