Such a ludicrous deal.
I think it's $1.99 now - still a good deal.

I think PF Changs will do great here in Vancouver. I know alot of people including myself that enjoy Chinese food but tend to stay away from the authentic offerings in Vancouver due to the atrocious service and questionable food prep practices.

They also offer alot of Chinese food options that cater towards North american standards such as, gluten/sodium/vegan concerns.

I know they have specific menus for each.

On another note I took an asian friend of mine to Panda Express while driving down to Seattle and he had nothing but high praise for the quality of the food compared to Vancouver simliar offerings.

BTW Leftcoaster totes agree on the wicked deal of the Whopper Wednesday!!! Can't be beat

The Home Depot location has been gone for a little bit.

A good deal equates a good burger?

Pair Bistro on West 10th is gone and replaced with Rajio - another Japanese izakaya...too bad because Pair was pretty good

Bistro Bistrot is also gone

Doesn't really deserve much hype, but it is a welcome change in Downtown Van which is still dominated by McD's and A&W.
the one at the home depot closed last year

For someone making 12.50 an hour it's a great deal.

Considering the price and what you get, yeh I'll say its a good burger.

Let's say we live like the other 90% of Canadians who live somewhere where Burger King/Wendy's/McD's/Small tower joint are the only option... so in that regard yes the Whopper is king.

Hmm.. I can't see the Burger King/Wendy's/McD's because there are about 4 A&Ws in the way...

The Imperial Chinese Seafood Restaurant in the Marine Building on Burrard has been closed. Looks like maybe they didn't pay the rent? Anyone know why it shut down? It's been there for many years.

Exactly, PF Chang's quality, service, ambiance and variety is better than the vast majority of any Chinese food available in the Lower Mainland.

Monk McQueen to close and be replaced by Mahony and Sons

Monks closes at the end of this year.

I don't think this place will be missed.

Indeed. I believe the plan is to close around a month in between as well. Close in March, No Miku for April... then new Miku in May!

Not really. And their new weekend brunch buffet was actually quite good. Great to see we get another obnoxious "Irish" pub in its place from Mahoneys.

Very, very tired indeed.

It will be interesting to see how the Tap & Barrel / Mahoney's rivalry takes shape with the soon to be duelling locations both at the Convention Centre and on False Creek. Both have good brew and somewhat mediocre food... but at least the environments are more current than what Monk's had become.
