Thanks. I’d not walked over there in a couple of months. This is awesome!

Would have been nice if it had become a museum or something.

^ FINALLY downtown residents will be able to buy the $11 potato chips and $14 smoothies they've always known they've deserved!

Would still rather DTLA residents be gifted with a Trader Joe’s or Aldi’s or even a Sprouts instead of an LA stereotype of a market selling overpriced vegan, raw, gluten-free silliness and a shitload of sketchy vitamins.

Anybody else like how the shadow of one of Barry Shy's many proposed but silent towers sits so ominously over this project ? lol why even bother adding something like that into the renderings when it has near zero chance of actually happening with him at the helm? The tower fits Onnis profile, simple, lots of stucco, cheap to build. Maybe they should buy it from him so it can finally get done, 4 years later.

Boulevard Partners is planning a 68-unit Transit-Oriented Communities project in Little Tokyo.

The five-story building is slated for 600-622 East 1st Street at the edge of the Arts District. A permit application says it will include underground parking and ground-floor retail.

^ Yeah, the Real Deal is not known for their accuracy. That was a straight copy/paste from their article, too. Isn't Metro doing away with the color system of naming the rail lines anyway?

A couple of skyline shots from Kenneth Hahn earlier today, after the rain.

Impressive and dramatic photos. I guess in a few years the slight gap between the south park cluster and the towers to the north will fill in more. Let the boom continue. Good to see the old Occidental/Transamerica/USC tower now has company. Used to be so isolated.

Nice photos! I like the way it has three "levels" with houses in the foreground, mountains in the background and downtown in between.

^ I second gorgeous photos-first one seems to have an "LA in the spring" twist to it with the clouds and green grass.
