Exclamation Janet Jackson coming to Vancouver

So happy to hear Janet Jackson is kicking off her North American Tour here at (possibly) beautiful, retractable BC Place Stadium September 10!

First Madonna in the dome, now Janet Jackson!

Checked the BC Lions schedule and they play a home game on Sept 6 then go on the road so it's possible it will be BC Place as Sept 10 is not booked for football. The Stadium site schedule doesn't go that far.

Pollstar confirms September 10 in Vancouver with venue TBA, which probably means they're deciding between the Garage and BC Place. If it's the Garage, ticket prices will be through the roof cause I remember last time she was here in GM Place tickets started at $ 150.

If it's the dome, ticket pricing may be more moderate.

She drew 24,000 in 1990 at the dome for the Rhythm Nation Tour.

I'm happy for the Stadium as exciting as all this reno news has been; it was fantastic to have Rolling Stones in there last year and then David Beckham, so if the dome gets Madonna and Janet Jackson in consecutive months, great for BC Place.

Could still be BC Place on Sept. 20 as the Lions have games on Sept. 13th and 27th, meaning September 20 is the Lions bye week (each CFL team has one bye week per seson; last year the Western and Eastern Conferences had them in different weeks).

24hrs and the Sun say the 10th, Pollstar says the 20th

Nobody with properly functioning ears wants to play or see a show in BC Place.

Did she tell you this herself or was this her orange vested tour manager?

I didn't think she was popular enough for the dome anymore? Her last three albums have bombed.

There is no way Janet could fill BC Place.
